The new Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon 1 features a redesigned top lever with a smoother opening and closing feeling, a durable stainless-steel trigger and grade-2 oil-finished walnut wood pistol-grip stock and forend. The receiver features a low, slim action and a reliable locking system with trapezoidal shoulders and dual conical locking lugs; the reliable ejection system is the same as the one used on the 680 platform, trusted by over a million users for more than 30 years. The balance has been enhanced, keeping weight centred on the hinge pins. The deep floral engraving, now even richer, is made with the advanced Beretta 5-axis laser technology and extends seamlessly to the receiver tail and hinge pins. Steelium® Optimabore® HP barrels, provided with 80-mm double forcing cones, complete the package and deliver smooth ballistics, reduced recoil, and uniform shot patterns.
