Magpul was founded in 1999 by U.S. Marine Sergeant Richard Fitzpatrick with the goal of creating a simple but robust device that helped extract STANAG magazines under stress. That first invention, the “Magpul,” gave rise to a company that would become a global leader in polymer firearm accessories . Driven by innovation, simplicity, and efficiency, Magpul has since expanded its range to include modular stocks, ergonomic grips, handguards, magazines, slings, sights, bipods, and even hard-wearing equipment cases and apparel built to professional standards . Their accessories support a wide range of platforms—AR-15/M4, AK variants, Remington 700, lever-action rifles, shotguns, and more—many built around the industry-standard M-LOK mounting interface, which Magpul introduced in 2014 under an open, licensable standard.
