"The next assault rifle evolution" is what Heckler & Koch itself calls the 5th generation of the successful HK416 series. This CO₂-operated polymer airgun strictly follows the design of the successful model and conveys tactical flair in recreational shooting with 4.5 mm steel BBs.

Designed with efficiency in mind: An enduring drive from two 12 g CO₂ capsules, a 36-round magazine and an additional reservoir for 600 steel BBs guarantee a long-lasting shooting experience with a high fun factor. For precision, the HK416 A5 relies on a steel inner barrel, flip-up sights and a Picatinny rail for alternative scope mounting.

Typical of this model, features such as the Picatinny quad rail, the ambidextrous fire selector and the 5-stage collapsable stock are also found on the CO₂-operated airgun.
