Shop red dot sights from Holosun, Vortex Optics and Hawke, stocked at our Bromsgrove shop. Choose enclosed micro dots like the Vortex Defender-ST and Venom, Holosun ARO-EVO pedestal-mounted rifle optics, tube-style dots for air rifles, or 1x to 6x prism sights from the Hawke Prism and Vortex Spitfire ranges. No firearms certificate is needed to buy a sight.
We carry over 40 red dot and prism sights at our Bromsgrove shop, from compact air pistol dots up to the Holosun HS510C and HM3X magnifier set. Practical and mini rifle shooters go for the Holosun ARO-EVO on its lower 1/3 pedestal mount. Pistol and PCC shooters take the Vortex Defender-CCW or the enclosed Venom. If astigmatism turns your dot into a starburst, the etched-reticle Vortex Spitfire and Hawke Prism sights solve it. Sights are unrestricted accessories, so orders ship UK-wide with no RFD transfer needed. Add a Picatinny mount to finish the setup.
Some will. The Hawke Vantage Red Dot 1x30 is supplied for a 9-11mm rail, and the Hawke 1x30 dot fits either a Weaver/Picatinny rail or an 11mm dovetail. Micro dots from Holosun and Vortex use a Picatinny footprint and need a dovetail-to-Picatinny adaptor from our mounts and rails range.
Open reflex sights are lighter and cheaper and suit range and competition use. Enclosed micro dots such as the Vortex Venom Enclosed and Defender-CCW Enclosed seal the emitter against rain, mud and lint, which matters for foxing, pest control and anything carried in the field year-round.
That is usually astigmatism, and it is common. An LED dot smears because the eye cannot focus a point light source. A prism sight uses an etched reticle instead, so the aiming point stays sharp. The Vortex Spitfire AR 1x and the Hawke Prism 1x15 with Speed Dot reticle are the two we point people at.
