Shop IR illuminators and infrared torches from PBIR, Wulf and Yukon, with 850nm models for maximum range and a 940nm option for covert work on IR-shy foxes. Focusable LED torches suit digital night vision such as the HikMicro Alpex and Pard DS35, while higher-output units cover tubed optics. No certificate required and everything here is in stock.
Everything on this page is physically in stock at our Bromsgrove shop rather than sitting on a distributor's back-order list, and you are welcome to handle them at the counter before you commit. The Wulf FIIR 850nm is the sensible starting point for airgun and rimfire ranges, the PBIR Illuminator X is the long-range 850nm choice, and the PBIR Illuminator C runs 940nm for foxes that have already been educated. Pair one with a scope from our night vision range and add a charger from optics batteries.
850nm gives the brightest image and the longest reach, but produces a faint red glow at the emitter that educated foxes can spot. 940nm is effectively covert, at the cost of roughly half the usable range, because digital sensors are less sensitive to it. Most UK fox shooters run 850nm and keep 940nm for wary ground.
Yes. The Wulf FIIR 850nm torches are specified for the HikMicro Alpex and Alpex 4K, Pulsar C50, Pard NV008S, Pard DS35 and Arken Zulus. The PBIR Illuminator X suits digital and tubed units including Yukon Photon, ATN X-Sight, Armasight and PVS-14. Ring us if your model is not listed.
Often, yes. Built-in emitters are usually low-powered and throw a wide, short beam suited to under 100 yards. A focusable external torch lets you flood close ground or spot at distance, and moving the light off the optical axis reduces glare bouncing back off fog and rain.
