What We Fill

• PCP air rifles, filled straight from the compressor using your rifle's fill probe or adaptor.
• Airgun buddy bottles, often called dive bottles, as long as they are only used for airguns.

Fill Pressures and Fittings

Most PCP air rifles fill to somewhere between 200 and 250 bar. Check your rifle's manual or gauge for its rated pressure and tell us when you hand it over. We fill to that figure and no higher.

Buddy bottles are usually rated at either 232 or 300 bar, and the rating is stamped on the cylinder. A bottle can only be filled to its own rating, even if the rifle it feeds takes more.

We fill buddy bottles with a DIN valve.

£2.00 to fill a rifle and £7.00 to fill a buddy bottle, whether it is rated at 232 or 300 bar.

How It Works

No need to book, just walk in. Fills are done in the shop during our opening hours, Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5:30pm. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

A rifle fill takes about 2 minutes and a buddy bottle 5 to 10 minutes. If you are travelling a distance, give us a call on 01527 831 261 before you set off.

What to Bring

• For a rifle fill: your rifle, in a gun slip or case, and its fill probe or adaptor. Many rifles use a model-specific probe, so we can't fill without it. If yours is lost or worn, we stock fill probes and adaptors for many popular rifles.
• For a buddy bottle fill: the bottle, in test and in good condition. Cylinders usually need retesting every 5 years, and we can't fill one that is out of test. If you're not sure about yours, give us a call before you come in.

Filling at Home

If you shoot often, a buddy bottle or hand pump lets you top up at home or in the field between visits. A buddy bottle filled here gives you a number of rifle fills before it needs topping up again, depending on its size and your rifle.

Can you fill my buddy bottle?

Yes, as long as it is in test and in good condition. Cylinders usually need retesting every 5 years, and we don't fill one that is out of test. We fill bottles up to 300 bar.

Do you fill dive bottles?

Yes, if it is only used to fill airguns. Plenty of shooters use a dive bottle as a buddy bottle, and we fill those like any other. We don't fill any cylinder used for scuba or diving.

Which makes of PCP air rifle do you fill?

Any make, as long as you bring the fill probe or adaptor that fits your rifle.

To the fill pressure shown in your rifle's manual or on its gauge, up to 300 bar. We don't fill above the pressure your rifle is rated for.

How often should I refill my rifle?

When its gauge drops to the refill point given in the manual. Shots per fill vary a lot between rifles, so the manual is the best guide.

I've lost my fill probe. Can you still fill my rifle?

Not without a probe or adaptor that fits your rifle. We stock fill probes and adaptors for many popular rifles, including BSA, FX, Gamo and Weihrauch models, so call us with your rifle model and we can check.

Can I buy a buddy bottle and have it filled here?

Yes. We sell buddy bottles in a range of sizes, and every one leaves the shop filled.
