Tikka build their reputation on a cold-hammer-forged barrel and a guaranteed sub-MOA three-shot group, and every rifle on this page ships with that guarantee. The range splits cleanly in two. The T1x is the rimfire, chambered in .17 HMR and .22 LR, sharing its stock and magazine pattern with its centrefire sibling so the transition costs you nothing in muscle memory. The T3x is the centrefire, from .223 Rem up through the deer-legal calibres to the magnums, with a modular stock you can adjust for grip and comb height. Barrel contours run from the Lite through the Varmint to the Superlite, and most models are available threaded for a moderator. Prices here start around £730 and run to roughly £2,400 for the premium variants.
The question most people arrive with is T1x or T3x, and the honest answer is that it depends on what you are shooting rather than budget. If you are on rimfire, for rabbits, ratting or club target work, the T1x is the rifle: .17 HMR or .22 LR, and because it shares the T3x stock and magazine pattern you can move up later without relearning the gun. If you need a centrefire for deer, the T3x is where to look, and the calibre choice matters more than the model. .223 Rem is fine for foxes and muntjac but is not legal for the larger species in England and Wales, so for roe and above look at .243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor or .308 Win. After that it is barrel contour and stock. The Lite is the one to carry all day, the Varmint and Super Varmint are heavier and steadier off sticks or a bipod, and the Tact A1 is a target rifle first. Nearly everything here is threaded for a moderator, which is worth having on any rifle you intend to use around livestock or near houses.
Every rifle is sold through our RFD transfer, so it goes to us or to a dealer near you rather than to your door, and you will need the relevant firearms certificate before we can release it. For muntjac and Chinese water deer the minimum is .220 with a 50 grain bullet and 1,000 ft/lb, so a .223 Rem T3x is legal. For all other species, including roe, fallow, sika and red, you need a minimum of .240 and 1,700 ft/lb, which in practice means .243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win or similar. Scotland sets different minima. If you are buying one rifle to cover everything, most stalkers land on .243 or 6.5 Creedmoor.
The T1x is rimfire, in .17 HMR and .22 LR. The T3x is centrefire. They deliberately share a stock and magazine pattern, so a T1x handles like the T3x and you can practise cheaply on rimfire without relearning the rifle when you move up.
