You're browsing centrefire .204 Ruger ammunition, a flat-shooting varmint cartridge developed jointly by Hornady and Ruger. Built from a necked-down .222 Remington Magnum case, it's designed for high velocity and minimal recoil on fox, rabbit and other pest control rather than larger game. Below is our current .204 Ruger stock.
Because .204 Ruger is a centrefire calibre, UK law requires a valid Firearms Certificate authorising it before ammunition can be sold, under the Firearms Act 1968. Factory bullet weights for the round typically run from 24 to 57 grains, with 30 to 50 grains being most common; our current Hornady V-Max load sits towards the lighter end, built for speed and flat trajectory. If you're comparing varmint calibres, our Centrefire range also covers popular alternatives such as .22-250 and .223 Remington.
