We stock shotguns across every action type. Over & under, semi-auto, pump action, side-by-side, and single barrel. Our range covers 12 gauge, 20 gauge, 28 gauge, and .410 from brands including Beretta, Browning, Benelli, Mossberg, Derya, Armsan, Marocchi, Bettinsoli, Typhoon, and Yildiz.
Over & under shotguns are the most popular choice for clay shooting and game. We carry models from Beretta, Browning, and Bettinsoli across a range of price points.
Semi-auto and pump action shotguns suit everything from practical shooting to wildfowling, with Mossberg, Benelli, and Derya well represented in our stock.
Side-by-side shotguns remain a favourite for walked-up game shooting, and we keep a selection of single barrel and .410 models for younger or smaller-framed shooters getting into the sport.
Most shotguns are held on a Shotgun Certificate (SGC), which covers smooth-bore guns with a magazine capacity of no more than two cartridges (2+1 total). Shotguns with a larger magazine capacity, including many semi-autos and pump actions with extended tubes are classified as Section 1 firearms and require a Firearm Certificate (FAC) instead.
If you're not sure which certificate covers the gun you're looking at, ask us and we'll clarify.
All shotguns can be purchased in-store at our Bromsgrove shop. If you can't get to us, we can send your gun to a registered firearms dealer near you for collection.

You apply through the firearms licensing unit of your local police force. The process includes a background check, a visit from a Firearms Enquiry Officer, a GP medical declaration, and a check on your gun storage. Yes. Pump action and semi-automatic shotguns are legal in the UK. If they have a fixed magazine capacity of no more than two cartridges (2+1 total), they can be held on a standard Shotgun Certificate. If the magazine holds more than two, which is common with extended tube magazines, the gun becomes a Section 1 firearm and you'll need a Firearm Certificate. We stock both SGC and FAC-rated semi-autos and pump actions.
A standard Shotgun Certificate (SGC) covers smooth-bore guns with a magazine holding no more than two cartridges. A Firearm Certificate (FAC) is needed for shotguns that exceed this capacity, typically semi-autos and pump actions with extended magazine tubes. FAC shotguns are popular in practical shooting disciplines where higher capacity is an advantage. The application process for a FAC is more involved, as you need to demonstrate 'good reason' for each firearm on the certificate.
For most beginners, a 12 gauge over & under is the best starting point. It's the most versatile option, you can use it for clays, game, and walked-up shooting. A second-hand Beretta or Browning over & under in good condition is a solid choice and holds its value well. The most important thing is that the gun fits you, so come into the shop and handle a few before deciding. We can advise on gun fit and help you find something that suits your shooting and your budget.
Yes. Buckshot and shotgun slugs are legal to buy in the UK, but they are classified as Section 1 ammunition. You need a Firearm Certificate with the appropriate calibre and ammunition allowance to purchase them, a standard Shotgun Certificate is not sufficient. We stock practical shotgun ammunition including buckshot and slugs. Check our ammunition section for current availability.
