The Caldwell Rock BR Competition Front Shooting Rest is built for shooters wanting finer bench adjustment than a simple bag provides. Its machined die-cast metal construction and three independently adjustable, metal-spiked feet suit a stable, level bench. The forend stop helps position the rifle consistently.
Use the filled Medium Varmint bag for sporter-style forends. The unfilled three-lobe bag can be filled to suit wider forends, while adjustable tension lets you tune the cradle. It is a front shooting rest, not a complete front-and-rear rest system. The Rock BR supports the rifle’s forend in the supplied bag while allowing windage and elevation adjustment from the bench. A separate rear bag may be used where your shooting discipline and range rules permit it.
It includes a filled Medium Varmint front bag for sporter-style forends and an unfilled three-lobe bag intended for wider forends. The adjustable cradle also accepts Caldwell Deluxe front rest bags, giving you scope to change the bag when the supplied options do not suit your rifle’s forend shape.
The rest provides up to 11.5 inches of vertical adjustment, using a two-stage ball-bearing rotational system for fine elevation changes. Fingertip windage adjustment handles smooth lateral corrections. Together, these controls let you refine the rifle’s position from the bench without repeatedly shifting the complete rest.
Use it on a stable, level bench. Its 14-inch base and three independently adjustable, metal-spiked feet are designed to create a planted platform and allow levelling. Take care with finished or easily marked surfaces because the supplied feet are spiked. Compatible protective foot pads are a separate Caldwell accessory.
