The 380mm Micro barrel version of the FX DRS MkII Classic in walnut, tuned to sub 12 ft/lb in .177. Short, slim and quick to point in a hide or under woodland cover.
Short air rifles usually ask for a compromise somewhere, and the interesting thing here is how little this one gives up. At 12 ft/lb a shorter barrel matters far less than it does at FAC power, because the pellet is not being asked to make use of a long column of air. What you gain is a rifle that comes up and stays on target in the sort of cramped ground where a full length barrel and moderator start catching on branches and hide netting.
Walnut is the reason most people choose this over the ambidextrous synthetic Micro 380 mm, and the trade is worth being honest about. Wood is heavier, it wants drying off after a wet morning, and there is no adjustment on the comb. In return you get a stock that fills the hand properly and a rifle that will still look right in twenty years.
Two things to think about before ordering. The 30 MOA rail is aimed at long range work, and with some scopes at 25 or 30 yards you can run short of downward adjustment, so check your mount height. And a barrel this short means a long moderator shifts the balance noticeably, which is worth bearing in mind when picking one from our air rifle moderators. If you want the extra length back, the 500 mm Standard covers the same ground in synthetic.
In England and Wales a sub 12 ft/lb air rifle needs no certificate for an over 18, though Scotland requires an air weapon certificate. That makes this a straightforward choice for feed stations, hides and cluttered woodland, and it sits at the short end of the FX Airguns air rifles range.

Yes, same rifle. The DRS MkII is offered in several barrel lengths and 380 mm is the shortest. Some sellers call it Micro and others Compact, and FX's own configurator uses Compact for a longer barrel again. If you are cross-checking listings, go by the barrel figure in millimetres rather than the word.
In .177 at sub 12 ft/lb it is not a Section 1 firearm, so no firearms certificate is needed in England and Wales for a purchaser aged 18 or over. Scotland requires an air weapon certificate, and Northern Ireland requires a firearm certificate. FX also list a separate FAC version if you want more power.
The muzzle is threaded 1/2 UNF, which is the standard air rifle thread in the UK, so most moderators will thread straight on. Worth thinking about length as well as fit. On a 380 mm barrel a long moderator adds a noticeable amount out front and undoes some of the reason for buying the short version.
