A walnut-stocked sporter PCP built on the FX DRS MkII Classic platform, with the over-barrel air cylinder keeping the rifle slim and well balanced. The 500mm Standard barrel in .177 suits pest control and target work alike, with a generous shot count between fills.
Some shooters want a PCP that looks and carries like a proper sporting rifle, without a bulky cylinder hanging under the barrel. This walnut-stocked .177 is built for exactly that. The air cylinder sits over the barrel rather than beneath it, so the rifle stays slim through the fore-end and balances naturally whether you are walking hedgerows or settled on a bench.
The 500mm Standard length is the sensible middle of the range. It carries a 210cc cylinder and, in .177, delivers around 135 shots per fill at 230 bar, without the extra reach of the 600mm version. Overall length is 935mm, which keeps it manageable in a vehicle or a hide.
The MkII update is more than cosmetic. The new APB barrel system runs the barrel through the air cylinder for added rigidity, and liners can now be changed without degassing the rifle. Behind it, a larger power plenum and the Dynamic Block barrel inlet improve airflow, while the AMP MkII regulator keeps velocity consistent across the string. That consistency is what tightens groups at range.
Day-to-day handling is straightforward. The side lever is smooth, the trigger is adjustable, and the lever-style safety sits where your thumb expects it. A 30 MOA Picatinny rail comes as standard, so mounting a scope is simple and you gain useful elevation for longer shots. The barrel is threaded 1/2" UNF for a moderator, and filling is by probe.
Walnut is the traditional pick of the three FX DRS MkII Classic stock options, finished with a comfortable recoil pad. As a sub-12 ft·lb air rifle, it can be bought by over-18s without a firearms certificate.
A smart, well-balanced choice for pest controllers and hunters who want modern regulated PCP performance in a rifle that still looks like a rifle.
