The FX DRS MkII Redline Laminate Compact .177 is a sub-12 PCP with a 500 mm barrel, adjustable laminate stock and up to 143 regulated shots per fill.
The FX DRS MkII Redline Laminate Compact .177 is the DRS for shooters who want a classic sporter shape and a stock they can properly adjust. The air reservoir wraps around the barrel instead of hanging underneath it, so the rifle stays slim and feels like a traditional sporter rather than a bottle gun.
Compact is the sensible length for most sub-12 shooting, short enough for woodland, hides and the back of the car without feeling stubby. If the shortest possible rifle matters more, look at the Micro version of the synthetic DRS MkII Classic. If you would rather have a plainer stock on the same 500 mm barrel, the synthetic DRS MkII Classic Standard 500mm is the alternative.
The stock is the reason to choose the Redline. Set the cheek piece once for your scope height and your head lands in the same place every shot. The forend accessory point also gives a bipod somewhere solid to go.
Like any PCP, it needs a fill source, so budget for a stirrup pump or a diving cylinder. It fills through a quick-disconnect pin probe, and the gauge shows system pressure at a glance. It is set up for right-handed shooters.
As a sub-12 ft lb air rifle, it needs no licence for over-18s in England and Wales. Scotland requires an air weapon certificate and Northern Ireland a firearm certificate.
It suits the shooter who wants one well-fitted rifle for rabbits, rats and the garden range, and sits at the adjustable end of the FX Airguns line-up among our air rifles.

Mechanically they are the same rifle, with the same APB barrel system, AMP MKII regulator, 30 MOA rail and side lever action. The Redline swaps the walnut or soft-touch synthetic stock for a laminate with an adjustable cheek piece and an accessory mounting point. If you want the same 500 mm barrel in a synthetic stock, look at the FX DRS MkII Classic Synthetic Standard 500mm .177.
The Compact puts a 500 mm barrel in a 941 mm rifle, which suits most field and garden range shooting. FX does not make the Redline as a Micro, so if the shortest possible rifle matters most, for hides or shooting from a vehicle, the FX DRS MkII Classic Synthetic Micro 380mm .177 is the one to choose.
FX quotes 143 shots in .177 using 10.34 gr pellets at 720 fps, from a 230 bar fill of the 210 cc air reservoir. Different pellet weights will move that figure. You will need a fill source, either a stirrup pump or a diving cylinder with the right fitting, as the rifle fills through a quick-disconnect pin probe.
