The Weihrauch HW100X bullpup packs a 41 cm barrel into a rifle just 77 cm long, with a 250 bar aluminium cylinder for up to 210 shots per fill in .177.
The Weihrauch HW100X bullpup layout moves the action behind the grip, and that is what makes this rifle so compact. It changes how it handles more than how it shoots. It comes up quickly, swings easily onto a rabbit at the edge of cover and stays manageable in a hide, through gateways and around farm buildings.
The X update is the reason to choose this over an older HW100 BP. Weihrauch replaced the steel cylinder with aluminium, raised the fill pressure and reworked the regulator, so you spend far more time shooting and less time at the charging rig. That fill pressure matters when you buy filling kit. A 300 bar diving cylinder or a compressor rated to 250 bar will fill it completely, while an older 232 bar bottle will leave it short of a full charge.
Bullpups usually want taller mounts than a conventional sporter to bring your eye in line with the scope, and the adjustable buttplate takes care of the rest of the fit. Set both up before zeroing. It is supplied with a Weihrauch moderator.
If most of your shooting is prone or off a bench at a club, the conventional HW100X Sporter in .177 is the easier rifle to live with. For pest control on the move, where length counts as much as accuracy, the bullpup earns its place.
This .177 model is sub-12 ft-lb and needs no licence for over-18s in England and Wales. Shooters in Scotland need an air weapon certificate. Browse the full range of Weihrauch air rifles, or our wider selection of air rifles, for alternatives.

The X uses an aluminium cylinder rated to 250 bar instead of the old steel one, and a redesigned regulator. Weihrauch says it is 360 g lighter and gives at least 50 percent more shots. Older reviews and used listings quoting around 50 shots refer to the previous model, so check which one you are looking at.
The BP is the standard bullpup, with a 41 cm barrel and Weihrauch's quoted 210 shots per fill in .177. The BPK is a carbine version, shorter still, built for the tightest spaces. Go for the BP if you want the longer barrel and the most shots between fills. Pick the BPK if overall length matters more than anything else.
Weihrauch quotes up to 210 shots per fill in .177 from a 250 bar charge. Real numbers depend on pellet choice and how far you let the pressure drop before refilling. For most pest control sessions that means filling once and forgetting about it, rather than topping up between magazines.
The stock and pistol grip are ambidextrous, and the buttplate adjusts for height and side to side, so the fit works from either shoulder. As with any bullpup, check how the cocking lever and ejection side suit you before buying. It is worth handling one in the shop if you shoot left-handed.
This .177 model is sub-12 ft-lb, so over-18s in England and Wales can buy and own it without a certificate. In Scotland you need an air weapon certificate from Police Scotland before you can take possession. As an RFD we will confirm the paperwork needed when you order.
