This is the Huntsman Revere built properly for a left-handed shooter. The walnut sporter stock is shaped for the left shoulder and the sidelever sits on the left of the action, so you work it with your trigger hand and keep your face on the stock between shots. Most left-handers end up with an ambidextrous compromise. This is the mirror image of the right-hand rifle, not a halfway house.
At 12 ft/lb the sidelever is less about cocking effort and more about a short, repeatable cycle from the shoulder, which is what you want when a second rabbit sits up. The regulator earns its place the same way. Power stays consistent through the string, so the zero you set holds rather than drifting as the cylinder empties.
The .177 suits accuracy-led shooting at sub-12 power, from hunter field target to rabbit and pest control. If you want an adjustable cheekpiece or will share the rifle with a right-handed shooter, Daystate's ambidextrous Safari Edition is the better fit. Yes. The Huntsman Revere runs a HUMA-Air regulator, which feeds the valve at a steady pressure rather than whatever is left in the 250 bar cylinder. In practice that means consistent power from shot to shot, so your zero holds from the first shot of a fill to the last instead of drifting as pressure drops.
Only in the stock and the lever. The right-handed Huntsman Revere .177 shares the same 430 mm barrel, 13-shot magazine, regulator and 140-shot fill at 12 ft/lb. This version mirrors the stock for the left shoulder and puts the sidelever on the left. If you shoot off your right shoulder, the right-handed rifle is the one to buy.
Not in England and Wales. This is the 12 ft/lb version, so no licence is required for over-18s. In Scotland you need an Air Weapon Certificate from Police Scotland before you can buy or use it. Daystate also builds an 18 ft/lb .177 version for FAC holders, and that one requires a firearms certificate.
Daystate quotes 140 shots at 12 ft/lb from a 250 bar fill of the 132 cc cylinder. Because the rifle is regulated, those shots stay consistent until the cylinder drops below the regulator's working pressure, so topping up before you reach the end of the string keeps every shot on the same zero.
