A 3x flip-to-side magnifier that sits behind your red dot and swings into the sight line only when you need the extra reach. The HM3X pairs with red dot and reflex sights for target identification at distance, and this FDE version matches flat dark earth furniture. It ships with a lower 1/3 co-witness spacer and a quick-detach, ambidextrous Picatinny mount.
Key Features:
3x fixed magnification extends a red dot's usable range for target identification at distance
Ambidextrous flip-to-side quick-detach mount swings clear in a single motion for instant unmagnified shooting
Included lower 1/3 co-witness spacer aligns with most common red dot mounting heights out of the box
70mm eye relief and 7.6mm exit pupil keep the sight picture comfortable and forgiving on head position
Adjustable dioptre lets shooters who wear glasses dial the focus to suit their own eyesight
Nitrogen-purged aluminium housing sealed to IP67 stays fog-free and waterproof through poor weather
Flat dark earth finish matches FDE-furnished rifles and carbines for a consistent look
Red dot sights are quick and instinctive up close, but there are moments when a little extra reach earns its keep: confirming a target at distance, reading your fall of shot, or getting a clearer picture of what sits downrange. The HM3X is a 3x magnifier built to live behind an existing red dot or reflex sight and flip into the sight line only when you want it.
The mount is where it earns its place. A quick-detach, ambidextrous flip-to-side design swings the magnifier clear in one movement, so you drop back to unmagnified shooting without breaking position. A lower 1/3 co-witness spacer is supplied alongside the standard-height mount, which means it lines up with most common red dot heights straight from the box rather than sending you hunting for extra parts.
Optically it punches above its price. Seventy millimetres of eye relief and a 7.6mm exit pupil make for a forgiving, comfortable sight picture, while roughly 75% light transmission through optical glass keeps the image bright. The dioptre ring is a genuine bonus for anyone who wears corrective lenses. Holosun have sealed the aluminium housing to IP67 and purged it with nitrogen against fogging, and windage and elevation adjustments let you square it up precisely with your primary optic.
This flat dark earth version does the same job in a finish matched to FDE rifles. A sensible way to stretch the range of a red dot setup without the weight or cost of a magnified optic.

Around 70mm (2.75 inches). Paired with a 7.6mm exit pupil, that gives a forgiving sight picture, so you don't have to fuss over exact head position to get a clean view through it.
The main change is the housing. The HM3X uses aluminium, while the HM3XT is built around a titanium housing, which is where the extra cost sits. Holosun position the titanium version as the lighter, more premium option. Optically the two are the same 3x magnifier, so unless weight saving is a priority the standard HM3X covers most needs.
Magnification. The HM3X is a fixed 3x, the HM6X a fixed 6x. Three power is the more versatile choice for general use: a wider field of view and easier to run at speed. Six power reaches further but narrows the picture and is less forgiving up close. For most red dot setups, 3x is the sensible starting point.
It mounts to a standard Picatinny rail and sits behind most red dot and reflex sights, not just Holosun's. A lower 1/3 co-witness spacer is included alongside the standard-height mount, so it lines up with both absolute and lower 1/3 co-witness heights without needing extra parts.
