The Holosun HM3X Micro is a fixed 3x flip-to-side magnifier built for shooters who want reach behind a red dot without the bulk. At 240 g and just 70 mm long it is lighter and noticeably shorter than the standard HM3X, and it ships with both a standard and a cantilever QD mount so you can set eye relief to suit your rifle.
Key Features:
True 3x magnification with a 7 degree field of view for fast target identification at distance
Compact 70 mm body weighing 240 g keeps your carbine balanced
Two flip-to-side QD Picatinny mounts included, standard and cantilever, to fine-tune eye relief
Absolute and lower 1/3 co-witness heights supported with the included spacer
IP67 rated and nitrogen purged against water, dust and fogging
7075 T6 aluminium housing with hard-wearing MAO finish
67 mm eye relief and 7.1 mm exit pupil for a forgiving sight picture
The Holosun HM3X Micro Magnifier 3X packs the reach of the proven HM3X line into a much smaller unit, built for shooters who like the speed of a red dot but want the option of a magnified view without upsetting the handling of a lightweight carbine. It is a fixed 3x magnifier that sits on the rail behind your dot and flips to the side when you do not need it, so nothing changes about how you run the rifle up close.
The Micro's case for shelf space is its footprint. At 240 g and roughly 70 mm long it gives away very little next to the standard HM3X, which is 278 g and over 100 mm, yet the optical package holds up: 67 mm of eye relief, a 7.1 mm exit pupil and the same 7 degree field of view. The generous eye relief and exit pupil mean you are not hunting for a precise head position to get a full picture, which matters when moving between shooting positions. A dioptre adjustment of plus or minus 3 lets you focus the image to your own eye.
Mounting is more flexible than most magnifiers at this price. Both a standard and a cantilever flip-to-side QD mount come in the box, so you can push the unit forward or back to get eye relief right for your setup, and the included spacer switches it between absolute and lower 1/3 co-witness to line up with however your dot is mounted. Build quality follows the rest of the range: 7075 T6 aluminium with an MAO finish, IP67 sealing, nitrogen-purged internals to stop fogging, a 1,000G rating and an operating range of -30 to 60 degrees C.
A great pick for anyone running a red dot on a gallery rifle or lightweight carbine who wants occasional magnification without carrying the weight of a full-size magnifier.

Size and mounting. The Micro is smaller and lighter, at 240 g and roughly 70 mm long against 278 g and just over 100 mm for the standard HM3X, and it includes both a standard and a cantilever flip-to-side mount where the standard model ships with one. Optically they are close: the Micro gives 67 mm of eye relief and a 7.1 mm exit pupil against 70 mm and 7.6 mm, with the same 7 degree field of view.
Any red dot or reflex sight mounted on a Picatinny rail, not just Holosun's own. The included spacer sets it at either absolute or lower 1/3 co-witness height, so it will line up with the common mounting heights used across Holosun's 400 and 500 series and most other brands.
Eye relief. The standard mount sits the magnifier close to the ring of the mount, while the cantilever mount pushes it further forward or back on the rail. Between the two you can position the unit so the 67 mm eye relief lands right for your stock length and head position, which a single fixed mount cannot always manage.
It is IP67 rated, so it is sealed against dust and can handle temporary submersion in up to a metre of water. The internals are nitrogen purged, which stops the lenses fogging in cold or damp conditions, and it is rated to work from -30 to 60 degrees C.
Yes, provided the rifle has a Picatinny rail. Holosun rates the unit to 1,000G, so it will handle the two-way recoil of spring and gas-ram air rifles, which is harder on optics than most cartridge firearms.
No. The magnifier only enlarges what the dot already shows, so your zero lives in the red dot. The magnifier has alignment adjustment to centre the magnified image behind your sight, which you set once when fitting it.
