The MDT Buttstock Rubber Dampers ACC Gen 2 are a simple upgrade with one job: taking the ring out of your chassis when the shot breaks. The skeletonised buttstock on the ACC Elite and ACC Premier Gen 2 leaves open pockets that can carry vibration through the stock on firing. These textured rubber inserts press into those openings and soak that energy up, so the rifle feels dead in the shoulder and the sight picture settles noticeably faster.
That matters most to precision rifle shooters. If you shoot PRS-style matches or practise at distance, the quicker the rifle returns to stillness, the better your chance of watching your own trace and seeing the impact rather than losing the picture to recoil. It is the same reason many shooters fill or weight their stocks, done here without adding hardware.
Fitting takes a minute. Apply a little dry lube to the outer edge of each damper and press it into the opening. They are held by friction alone, with no screws, adhesive or tools, and they come back out just as easily if you want to strip the stock down. This version is the black Gen 2 fitment.

This Gen 2 variant fits the buttstock on the ACC Elite and ACC Premier Gen 2 chassis systems. MDT makes the dampers in different fitments for its other buttstocks, including the SRS-X family, so check you have the version matching your stock before ordering.
Press-fit only. Apply a small amount of dry lube to the outer edge of each damper and push it into the corresponding opening in the buttstock. Friction holds them in place, so there are no screws, no adhesive and no tools involved, and they can be removed the same way.
They deaden vibration in the skeletonised stock, so the rifle feels flatter and settles back on target faster after the shot. The practical benefit is spotting: with less movement in the sight picture you have a better chance of seeing your trace and calling your own impacts at distance.
