Gun Slips, Hard Cases, Cartridge Bags & Range Kit
The right bag or case quietly does one of the most important jobs in shooting. Keeping your firearm protected, your cartridges organised, and your kit together from the gun room to the peg or firing point. We've built this section to cover every style of transport and storage, so whether you're after a soft fleece-lined slip for game shooting, a lockable hard case for travel, or a well-padded range bag to carry everything in one trip, you'll find a proper option here.
Our shotgun slips range covers everything from budget carbine slips through to handmade leather slips from traditional British makers, with fleece-lined, waterproof, and zipped takedown styles for covered protection on the move. For rifle shooters, our rifle slips section includes scoped and non-scoped options, drag bags for PRS and long-range, and lightweight carbine slips for stalking.
If you need serious protection for travel, storage, or air transport, our hard cases include pick-and-pluck foam cases, rigid polymer rifle and shotgun cases, and takedown cases suited to over-and-unders and bullpup rifles. For the range or a driven day, our range bags and cartridge bags offer purpose-built storage for cartridges, ear defenders, chokes, eyewear, and everything else you take to the line. Rifle shooters and airgunners looking to carry spare rounds will also find a good selection of ammunition pouches.
We stock bags and cases from the names that shooters actually rely on, Beretta, Browning, Napier, Croots, Harkila, Jack Pyke, Buffalo River, Kryptek, Bisley, and more, alongside dedicated airgun options for PCP and spring-piston rifles. Sizes run from compact pistol cases through to full-length scoped rifle cases and multi-gun transit cases.
As an established UK registered firearms dealer, we deliver across the UK and can arrange collection from our showroom in Bromsgrove.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What's the difference between a gun slip and a hard case?
A gun slip is a padded fabric or leather sleeve designed to protect your firearm from scratches, rain, and knocks in day-to-day use, ideal for moving between the gun room, car, and the field. A hard case offers rigid impact and crushing protection, and is the right choice for longer journeys, transporting a firearm where it may be out of sight, flying, or any situation where the gun leaves your direct control.
- Do I need a licence to buy a gun slip, case, or cartridge bag?
No. Bags, cases, slips, and cartridge bags themselves are not licensed items and can be purchased freely by anyone. However, you'll still need the appropriate firearms or shotgun certificate to actually possess and transport the gun that goes inside.
- What size rifle slip or case do I need?
Measure your rifle from the tip of the muzzle (or moderator if fitted) to the end of the buttstock, then add a few inches of clearance. Scoped rifles need a deeper slip or case with space for the optic. Look specifically for "scoped" slips, which are cut wider at the action. Bullpup rifles need shorter, deeper cases designed for their compact layout.
- Are fleece-lined gun slips worth it?
Yes, particularly for game and rough shooting. The fleece lining absorbs moisture from a wet gun after a day in the field, protects the bluing and woodwork from scratches, and is kinder to finished stocks than plain nylon. Most quality shotgun slips from Beretta, Browning, and Napier are fleece lined as standard.
