The Element Optics Helix 6-24x50 SFP APR-1C MRAD is a dialling scope with 0.1 MRAD turrets and a hard zero stop, built for long range target work and foxing.

  • Helix 6-24x50 SFP turrets dial 0.1 MRAD per click and 6 MRAD per turn, matching the APR-1C reticle so a measured miss converts straight into clicks
  • Hard mechanical zero stop lets you dial for distance and wind back to zero by feel, without looking at the turret
  • Tool-free resettable turret caps with stainless steel internals built to take regular dialling
  • 18.9 MRAD of elevation and 11.6 MRAD of windage in a 30 mm aircraft grade aluminium tube
  • Waterproof, fogproof, shockproof and nitrogen purged, with sunshade, rubber lens caps and lens cloth in the box

Description

The Element Optics Helix 6-24x50 SFP APR-1C MRAD is a scope for people who range a target, wind the turret and expect to come straight back to zero. Turret and reticle share the same unit, so zeroing is a case of measuring the miss in the reticle and dialling that number.

The reticle sits in the second focal plane, so it stays the same size as you zoom and looks clean at low power. At 12x each mark covers twice its value, at 6x four times, which is easy arithmetic for a quick hold. When there is time, dialling is the better habit, since clicks read true at any magnification.

With 6x at the bottom end, this suits open ground and the range: foxing over fields, long range target shooting, and rimfire or PCP air rifle benches. For close woodland stalking, a scope that starts nearer 2x or 3x is the better match.

Mount it in good quality 30 mm rings. On a centrefire set up for distance, the manual recommends a 20 MOA base to make the most of the elevation travel. Zero first, then fit the zero stop with a 1.5 mm hex key. For anyone who dials more than they hold, it is one of the better thought out rifle scopes in the Element Optics range.

Product Information

Is the Element Helix a good scope?

Yes, for shooters who dial. The Helix 6-24x50 SFP brings tool-free resettable turrets with stainless steel internals, a hard mechanical zero stop, and turrets that match the reticle unit. Element also backs its riflescopes with a Platinum Lifetime Warranty that needs no registration or proof of purchase. It suits anyone who dials for distance and wants a reliable return to zero.

What is a 6-24x50 scope good for?

A 6-24x50 is built for distance and detail. The 24x top end helps with small targets and reading wind, while the 50 mm objective keeps the image bright. It suits long range target shooting, foxing over open fields and benchrest work with rimfires or PCP air rifles, where you have time to set magnification and parallax before the shot.

Is this the Helix Gen 2 6-24x50?

No. This is the original Helix 6-24x50 SFP. A quick way to tell them apart is the turret: this model dials 6 MRAD per full turn. Reviews and listings often mix the two generations, so check which one you are reading before comparing weight, length or turret travel against this scope.
