A 12MP digital day/night scope from HIKMICRO with a 50mm F1.8 lens, built-in 1200m laser rangefinder, ballistic calculator and 4-24x magnification. The Alpex Pro succeeds the Alpex 4K with a lighter magnesium-alloy chassis and a larger 0.6 inch AMOLED display.
The Alpex Pro A50PL sits at the serious end of HIKMICRO's day/night scope range, and it's the sort of optic that earns its keep for shooters who find themselves working from full daylight into deep darkness without changing kit.
At the heart of it is a 12 megapixel CMOS sensor paired with a 50mm F1.8 objective, which between them produce a clean, detailed image across the 4-24x magnification range. Bright enough at dusk to avoid switching to IR any earlier than you have to, and sharp enough at full zoom to make confident identification a genuine possibility rather than an educated guess.
The Light Pro image processing algorithm is where the scope really shows its class in low light, pulling usable detail out of conditions where older digital scopes would be showing a wall of noise. The integrated 1200m laser rangefinder is a properly useful piece of kit, particularly with the onboard ballistic calculator handling holdover solutions on the fly.
Five zeroing profiles cover multiple rifles or load combinations, and features like freeze zeroing, picture-in-picture, and a 1920 x 1080 AMOLED display make it a genuinely refined tool to use rather than one you fight with in the field. The magnesium-alloy chassis keeps weight down to 889g with the external 18650 fitted, notably lighter than the Alpex 4K it replaces. And, IP67 sealing plus a rated operating range of -30°C to 55°C mean it will cope with whatever a British winter throws at it.
Runtime is around seven hours of continuous use with the rangefinder active, which covers most night sessions with plenty in reserve.
A proper professional-grade optic for foxing, deer management and serious pest control.
