Holosun AEMS EVO Sight Green Dot enclosed rifle sight with a large 1.26 × 0.98 in window, a switchable 2 MOA dot and 65 MOA circle, and solar-assisted power that keeps it ready.
The Holosun AEMS EVO Sight Green Dot is the green-reticle version of the large-window AEMS EVO, and the colour is the whole reason to choose it over the red. Green light sits close to the peak of the eye's daylight sensitivity, so many shooters find a green dot quicker to pick up against bright sky, snow or a pale backstop at the range.
The flip side is summer cover. Against a hedge line or green woodland the dot has less contrast, so if most of your shooting is foxing or deer management through the green months, the red dot AEMS EVO may suit you better. It is worth looking through both before deciding.
Because the emitter is enclosed, rain and grit have nowhere to settle on it, which makes this a sensible sight for a rifle that lives in a slip in the back of the truck. The centre height suits straight-stocked rifles such as AR-pattern rimfires and gallery rifles better than a sporter with a low comb.
If you want a shorter body, the AEMS Pro X2 green dot is the compact option on the same green reticle. For everything else, browse our reflex sights or the full Holosun range.

Choose on how the dot looks to your eye. The AEMS-EVO-GR uses a 540 nm green LED and the red AEMS-EVO-RD a 650 nm red one, and otherwise Holosun lists the same window, reticle options and housing for both. Green tends to suit bright, open backgrounds, while red tends to hold up better against green summer cover.
Both use a 540 nm green multi-reticle. The AEMS EVO has the larger window, 1.26 × 0.98 in against 1.1 × 0.87 in on the AEMS Pro X2. The Pro X2 has the shorter body, 2.2 in against 2.68 in, and adds an anti-reflective device. Pick the EVO for the more open sight picture, the Pro X2 for a compact setup.
The AEMS-EVO-GR comes on its own Picatinny mount, so it fits straight onto a Picatinny rail without an adapter plate. The mount puts the centre of the window 1.63 in above the rail, which lines up well on rifles with a straight-line stock. Check your rail has room for the 2.68 in body.
That is the usual reason to choose one. Green sits near the peak of the eye's daylight sensitivity, and the AEMS-EVO-GR adds eight daylight brightness settings plus an automatic mode that reads ambient light through a forward-facing sensor. If you mostly shoot over snow, stubble or a bright range backstop, it is the version to look at first.
