The Vanguard Quest T62A is an aluminium 3-in-1 shooting stick that works as a tripod, bipod or monopod, with an Arca-compatible V-yoke and a 59.5 to 155.5 cm tripod height.
The Vanguard Quest Shooting Stick T62A suits foxing, stalking and pest control, where the shot might come standing or off one knee. Height can be fine-tuned from the rear leg alone. Walk it in or out and the yoke rises or drops without touching a lock, which is quicker than working the flip locks with quarry in view.
The V shape centres forends of different widths, and because it's Arca compatible the yoke moves straight onto a photo tripod or monopod head with an Arca clamp. Keep the spikes out on grass and mud, and the rubber down on tracks and hard standing.
Next to the U-yoke Quest T62U, it gives up 2 cm of height and adds 20 g in return for the Arca yoke and spiked feet. The carbon fibre Quest T62CU is the one to look at if weight comes first. Among our shooting sticks, this is the pick for anyone wanting one support for the field, the kneeling shot and the spotting scope.

Both are aluminium 3-in-1 sticks with flip locks and a 360° swivel head. The T62A replaces the T62U's 6 cm U-yoke with a 7 cm Arca-compatible V-yoke, adds retractable spikes to the feet and uses rubber rather than foam grips. The T62U extends slightly taller, to 157.5 cm. Choose the T62A for the Arca yoke or if you shoot on soft ground.
Yes, provided the tripod or monopod head has an Arca-type clamp. The yoke lifts off the stick and clamps straight in, and Vanguard says that covers almost all of its own tripods. It's useful if you already carry a photo tripod for a spotting scope and want one support doing both jobs.
In tripod mode it extends from 59.5 cm up to 155.5 cm, which covers kneeling, sitting and most standing shots. Taller shooters should check that maximum against their comfortable standing aim height, since the yoke needs to sit where the rifle naturally points. For prone shooting below 59.5 cm, a short bipod is the better tool.
The rubber feet grip hard surfaces such as tracks, concrete or a high seat floor. Retract the rubber and the spike underneath bites into grass, mud and plough, where a rubber foot can skid once the rifle's weight is on the stick. Switch between them to suit the ground you're standing on.
