The Nocpix NITE D70R is a digital day and night riflescope with a 70mm F2.0 lens, 5x to 40x zoom, 12MP sensor and a 1,200 m rangefinder built into the objective bell. Made for foxing and deer at range.
The Nocpix Nite D70R is built for the shooter who wants one scope on the rifle from mid afternoon until well after dark, and who mostly shoots at distance. The square sensor fills the round display edge to edge, so the view is as tall as it is wide rather than the letterbox you get on most digital scopes. That makes it feel closer to a conventional scope behind the eye, and the reticle is sharp against it. A 5x starting point and a 10 m wide view at 100 m tell you what it is for: open ground, long margins and deer at range, not rats round a barn. Nocpix rates the image as lossless up to 15x. Beyond that you are into digital zoom, which is fine for a look but not where you want to be settling a shot.
Ranging is where the design earns its keep. The rangefinder button sits on its own on the left turret, so you can find it by feel without taking your eye off the target, and the reading feeds straight into the ballistic calculator. Set up your load once in the app or on the scope and it does the holdover arithmetic for you. Nocpix quotes a 1,500 m detection range in daylight, and detection means the sensor picks up something at that distance. Identification comes much closer.
At 1,055 g with a large front end this suits a dedicated foxing or deer rifle better than a lightweight rimfire. It mounts on a standard 30 mm tube, so ordinary rings work, though check objective clearance on a heavy barrel. For full darkness you will need an IR illuminator, which is a separate purchase. The scope works with 850 nm or 940 nm units and Nocpix quotes 200 m of observation with one fitted. If you shoot closer ranges or mixed woodland and want a wider view, the HikMicro Alpex Pro is the better fit within our night vision range. The rest of the Nocpix line is thermal, which is a different tool for a different job.
