Thermal to find it, 4K to confirm it. The HikMicro Habrok HH35L 2.0 pairs a 35 mm 384 x 288 thermal sensor with a 4K colour channel and a 1,000 m rangefinder.

  • HH35L 2.0 pairs a 384 x 288 thermal sensor rated under 15 mK with a 35 mm F1.0 lens for a 1,800 m detection range
  • 4K 3840 x 2160 optical channel behind a 60 mm F2.2 lens shows full colour detail by day and at dusk
  • Laser rangefinder reads from 10 m to 1,000 m to within ±1 m, so there is no second device to carry
  • Rear focus wheel and a thermal to 4K toggle let you focus and switch spectrum with one hand
  • HSIS shutterless thermal keeps the picture live with no freeze while the sensor recalibrates

Description

Most people looking at this want to swap a thermal spotter, a day binocular and a rangefinder for one thing round the neck. Thermal finds the heat, the colour channel tells you what it is, and the laser tells you how far. With the controls where your fingers already rest, all three happen without lowering the glass.

Read the detection figure carefully. It means the sensor registers something warm at that distance, not that you can tell a roe from a muntjac. Positive identification comes much closer in, and in good light the 4K channel is usually what makes the call. A starting field of view of around 13 m at 100 m suits field margins and woodland rides better than a far hillside.

Within the range, the 25 mm Habrok 4K 2.0 HE25L shares this body and controls with a smaller lens and lower resolution sensor, while the 640 sensor Habrok Pro HQ50L puts more pixels on the animal for long thermal work.

Before the first outing, set the eye width and dioptre, and keep a charged spare 18650 in a pocket for long sits. It also runs and charges from USB-C. At 900 g without batteries it carries comfortably in the HikMicro binocular harness supplied, and it makes a sensible single optic for deer managers, foxers and anyone doing night counts.

Product Information

What is the difference between the Habrok HH35L 2.0 and the HE25L 2.0?

Both use the same Habrok 4K 2.0 body, 4K optical channel, rear focus wheel and laser rangefinder. The HH35L 2.0 adds a 35 mm thermal lens and a higher resolution, more sensitive sensor, so heat signatures hold their detail further out. The HE25L 2.0 suits close woodland work, the HH35L 2.0 suits anyone who regularly glasses open ground.

How is the HH35L 2.0 different from the original Habrok HH35L?

The 2.0 brings the newer Habrok 4K platform: a 3840 x 2160 optical sensor, the rear focus wheel, the thermal and 4K toggle, HSIS shutterless thermal and a thermal sensor rated under 15 mK. Many listings still describe the original HH35L, so check for 2.0 in the model name before comparing figures.

How far away can the HH35L 2.0 identify a deer?

The 1,800 m figure is detection, meaning the sensor registers something warm at that distance. Identifying species happens much closer and depends on cover, conditions and the animal itself. Use thermal to find it, then switch to the 4K channel in daylight, or with the IR illuminator after dark, to confirm what you are looking at.

What battery does the HH35L 2.0 use and how long does it last?

It runs on a replaceable 18650 Li-ion cell, rated for 6.5 hours at 25°C with the rangefinder and hotspot running. That rating is taken in mild conditions, so a charged spare is sensible for winter sits. It will also run and charge from a 5V 2A USB-C supply, which makes a power bank a useful backup.
